A workshop without a fixed theme. you can come with an idea, a photo, or no plan at all.
freehand is not independent work without guidance. there is simply no pre-set object.
you can come with a photo, a sketch, or no plan. you tell us what you want to try, and the instructor shows you a suitable process for that piece.
what you will create
- a bowl, mug, vase, candle holder, stand, or another ceramic object
- one larger piece or several smaller ones, depending on how complex the idea is
- a surface with texture, engobe, or simple decoration
what is included
- clay, engobes, and standard tools
- instructor guidance throughout the workshop
- transparent glaze applied by the instructor
- 2 firings
- tea and water in the studio
- a message when your piece is ready for pickup

- a separate glazing lesson where you glaze the piece yourself
